Andre Ethier Grills Dodger Dogs for LA

Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles has been a long standing organization that continues to strive in helping to serve men, women and children experiencing homelessness. Their facility received some power at the plate as Dodgers All-Star outfielder, Andre Ethier came out to assist in grilling world famous Dodger Dogs and helping to serve the LA community.
This visit marked the fifth consecutive year Ethier has made at Union Rescue Mission and he explained why he continued to come back year after year. “It’s a good cause and a great thing to come out here and do,” said the Dodger outfielder. “You can see all these places are doing great work but they always need help and more attention brought to them and this is an opportunity for me to bring an extra word to what these guys do,” continued Ethier.
As the dogs went onto the grill, Ethier tied his apron and went to work with fellow volunteers showing how a veteran Dodger player cooks Dodger Dogs to a tee. Grilled to a charred perfection, the dogs were brought into the cafeteria where Andre got to meet with fellow blue crew fans as he served them an All-American lunch.
The Dodgers and Farmer John donated 1,000 Dodger Dogs as well as 100,000 pounds of lunch meat to help with the meal services at Union Rescue Mission.
